Death of Mrs. T. J. Mills From Paralysis at Home

Elizabeth A. Pierce Mills died at 43 after two strokes of paralysis within days. Born Nov 6 1859, she married Thomas J. Mills Aug 27 1879 and had one son. A Baptist member since 1878, funeral held at home with Rev. J. P. Henson. pallbearers were six former girl schoolmates. Burial at Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Cook Injured Jumping From Window After Gasoline Fire

Mrs. Wm. Cook formerly of this town moved to Danville Illinois was seriously injured last Sunday when a gasoline spill ignited after a dropped match. She jumped from a second floor window breaking her left arm and suffering back injuries with unknown internal damage. Miss Minnie Bush reports her condition as very serious. The other woman escaped by letting herself down and breaking an ankle.

Tripple Wedding Anniversary Observed Across Three Families

Sunday marked the wedding anniversaries of Charles A. Armantrout, Elwood Best, and John W. Brant. Brant missed the gathering due to illness, still sharing in the meal via portions prepared for the group at the Armantrout home. Armantrouts celebrated twenty third, Best twelve, Brants thirty two years, and Florence Armantrout observed her twenty first birthday.
