Harry McClarran, a veteran, public spirit and businessman, died October 20 after ten weeks of illness. A longtime Wooster resident, he served in the 16th O V I and later Union forces, engaged in education and finance locally, led G A R and civic activities, and supported Cuban relief. Funeral services were held October 22 with a large turnout and numerous tributes from friends and veterans.
Saturday’s sophomores seniors game crowned the seniors, while H A Brown '02 explained his ankle injury late. President Holden traveled to Toledo and New York for engagements and returned for the Bi county Texhoma meeting in Orrville. Faculty hosted a senior reception at Livingstone Home and John Fackler welcomed the President. Upcoming talks by J O Notestein and Mrs Duncan noted. Mable Fike ill. Hoover Cottage girls invite. Juniors defeated by High School football. Latimer Lane joins Alpha Tau Omega.
Dr. James Martin of Frederickaburg died after a 24 hour illness at his home on October 10 1899. Born October 20 1824 in Holmes County Ohio he studied in Philadelphia and practiced in Frederickaburg since 1855. He leaves five children and a wide circle of grateful friends praising his charity and Christian conduct.
Dr Frederick Platt the so called bye specialist will hold regular Friday sessions at the Yoder House Parlors from 8 p.m. to 6 p.m. These weekly office hours offer treatment and consultations to local residents seeking remedies for nervous or physical concerns.

Miss Sue Whitmore of Wooster visits Lintz home. Wagser and Contner attend O. E. meeting in Leroy. Ed Knowlton leaves for Cleveland to study medicine. O. E. society laments his absence. Miss Stevens of Wooster visits Roan Bizler. Saturday concert well attended with Doylestown musicians and local performers.
Josiah Miller aged about seven from near Marshallville died Monday at his Tate residence. An elder in the Marshallville Presbyterian church, his funeral was held at the Lower church near Marshallville at 9 30 Wednesday morning conducted by Rev. H B Miller of nearby parish.
A crowded Wooster meeting at the Ashland and Wooster Railway offices renewed efforts to secure the railroad. Reports from four committees were presented before the group decided to renew pressure for the line.
Mrs Aaron 8 Lehman died suddenly October 24 at 10 a.m. at her home on East Bowman Street Wooster after weeks of illness. Born June 21 181 on Schmuck farm south of Wooster she was a Bathany Baptist Church member. Survived by husband and a daughter Mrs Anon Phipe of Wankeahs Wis. Funeral Thursday at 2 p.m. from home conducted by Rev E Ohesnay.

Mrs Maria Griffin aged about 75 died in Fredericksburg with funeral Tuesday. William Barnes aged 76 died in Fredericksburg with funeral Tuesday. Joe Sullivan admitted insane by Probate Judge and committed to Toledo Hospital. D E Robinson gift of books to D W Brandt. Mrs Robinson to oversee United States Express office. Rev P F Graham suffered a paralytic stroke during service at Wadeworth B E church. references to family connections and local clergy.
Sunday evening near Overton a man identified as Henry Keillin of Smithville died after a bike and rider went off a steep hill and struck a rail fence. George Smith and his wife found the man with a broken neck and neighbors notified. Dr. Young of Overton pronounced the injury fatal and the body was taken to Smithville for private services.
