Death of Cyrus Bowman in Ohio distillery lineage
Cyrus Bowman, distiller of Wayne Township, died at home on High street Saturday morning November 9 from internal injuries after falling from a stepladder on November 4. Born 1831 in Cumberland County Pennsylvania of German descent, he learned harness making, worked in clerking and milling, started a Cedar Valley distillery in 1864, later moved to Tiffa Ohio and Wanster Ohio where his son C K Bowman ran the Stibb property distillery. He married Mary A Krusher in 1854 and leaves four children, three of whom survive: Clarence K., Cora M., and Mrs Maud Keller, all of Wooster.

Jacob Aurstine, aged gentleman and respected Wooster citizen, died on November ath and was remembered with a Thursday service at Beall Ave residence led by Rev Wm Feeman of Sims Ohio and assisted by Rev Holden and Rev Chesney. He was interred at Wooster cemetery with many relatives from Wooster and beyond in attendance including Dr and Mrs F H Durstine and family and Rev and Mrs F Riale. Mrs Jacob Durstine and daughter Claribel will remain at Beall Ave home.

Fatal Fall Claims Mrs Levi Allaman Near Madisonburg
Mrs Allaman, aged 68, died Sunday morning after a fatal fall while preparing breakfast at her Madisonburg area home. The accident struck the right side of her neck, bursting a jugular vein, and she bled to death within moments. Survived by husband and three children, funeral services were held Tuesday with interment in Wooster cemetery.
