The Holy City by Alfred Gaul staged at Wooster Uni
The Wooster University oratorio chorus conducted by Prof. J B Oliver presented The Holy City at First Presbyterian church last Thursday. The performance drew a selective audience and praised the meditative Christian work, with strong solos by Mrs. MacDonald and Messrs Marquis Hunton Kamler, plus skilled chorus, quartet, and orchestral accompaniment. The review notes high artistic finish, argues for broader public support, and promotes future appearances and sample programs at the Herald Office.
