The Herald office relocated last Saturday from the Horn building on East Liberty Street to the new quarters east of the Downing Block at the public square. The front room houses editorial and news, with composing and press rooms nearby. the move aims to improve efficiency and print quality.
Local notices report new homes under construction by Benj Lichtey and Frank Sells. Widespread damage includes 75 sugar trees girdled in W Holdington woods. Jerome Keck was captured on Tuesday for stealing apple butter from John Zimmerman of Creston one week ago. The Eastern House proprietor helped pursue him. Rymbrauch Refrigerator Company stockholders elected D. C. Curry as President and C. A. McDonald as Secretary at a meeting last Saturday in A. D. Metz’s law office. Arthur Anderson named Superintendent. Directors include Jos. Rumbaugh and N. L. Baumgardner. Company reports strong orders and about 40 workers employed.
Mrs Mary Eakin Shaw died at her husband Thomas Shaw home on East Bowman Street after a long illness following a fall outside a church. She was about 70, long resident of Wooster from Westmoreland County Pennsylvania. Funeral held Tuesday afternoon. Independent temperance voters names listed for Clinton and Wayne townships, plus Shreve corporation offices. District No 4 Plain Township school term notes grading day and praise for teacher D W Sowers. Ayer Cherry Pectoral praised by clergymen lawyers and speakers for throat lung vocal health.
