A sales claim touts Hall's Hair Renewer as restoring original color and stimulating follicle growth while cleansing the scalp and eradicating dandruff. It also cites the product as agreeable and harmless for use. In Millersburg a youth named Thomas Horn, aged eighteen, was beaten by his father last week with fists a whip and a coal shovel, leaving severe injuries and drawing neighbor outrage.
County Commissioners Board of Education and the President of Council counted funds in the county treasury last Monday. They reported a balance of 57,520.51 dollars, which balanced with the books after an inspection by ex Mayor Dennis Kimber.

An extensive Master Commissioner sale in Wooster saw Robert Childs property and multiple Wayne county farms sold to Winfield Childs and Robert Cochran of Dresden for 38745 dollars. A large business building opposite the post office sold to Cary Kauke for 11000 dollars.
One hundred dollars were subscribed by Wooster citizens for instruments for the Battalion Brass Band. Local businessmen aided the drive with L C Bell leading soliciting efforts and securing the total. Comitées are formed for Grisium Entertainment as preparations begin and Dr Young preaches a sermon on temperance at the First M E Church Alton.
Rev. J. T. Vine of New York City conducted revival meetings at Wooster Baptist and Millbrook churches drawing large crowds. Attendance peaked with heartfelt prayers and many converts, while Wooster’s Church of God on South Street reports 112 conversions and 70 additions since January. Rev. J. W. Bloyd, pastor of Church of God, and his family are credited for the broader revival’s success.
On February 18 1885 at the bride's home near Fredericksburg James E Grosjean and Minnie Armstrong were married by Rev T DeLong of the Congregational Church. Guests gathered for a feast and hearty congratulations followed with abundant presents and well wishes for a smooth voyage into married life. City notes Canton reports on two anarchist clubs German and English with about 75 and 0 members meeting Sundays with revolutionary speeches. Feilding urged drastic revolution. anarchists labeled exotic threats thriving in saloon liberty atmosphere and calls to purge such hotbeds.
