Wayne County Teachers Institute to Meet in Wooster

The Wayne county teachers institute will be held in Wooster during the last week in August with J. W. Harvey author of Harveys grammar among the instructors. The dead body of a man named Comstock was found near the county line between Holmes and Knox counties last week and a murder investigation is in progress. Barrett Kinion aged 38 an insane inmate of the Infirmary died of paralysis last Sunday afternoon. He was admitted from Wooster township 18 years ago.

Drowning in Mohican Creek Near Orrville Reported

A 1d year old William Morris drowned in Mohican creek near the Wayne county line last Saturday while swimming. Remains not recovered. Also, Will Ani and Clem Steinmetz were thrown from a car on Marshallville road north of Orrville. Steinmetz sustained injuries. Wayne county has four railway mail clerks named John Applebaugh John Hunner Wal Peters and George Pepper. Local taxes: city 9 mills state 29 mills county 32 mills school 10 mills. Kennedy Nominated for Lieutenant Governor at Republican Convention

Springfield convention results show General Robert P. Kennedy nominated for Lieutenant Governor by acclamation. Governor candidate Judge J. B. Boraker of Cincinnati won the first ballot. Ticket details and platform were not finalized, and the Temperance memorial from the Voters Union was ignored.

Mrs W C Orradd and Miss Miriam M Davis represented Wooster W C T U at the State Convention in session at Kent on June 10 and 12.
