Telephone Exchange Opened in Creston as Switchboard Arrives

C B Maxwell of Jeromeville now runs the Star Telephone Co exchange in Creston after moving his family there. Frank Mateele named deputy marshal by Mayor Wheeler. An ordinance to prohibit intoxicating liquor sales in Creston is introduced. Several local injuries reported from accidents and falls. Drilling contract awarded to Doff Bros of Cleveland for two wells, with latest drill to be used. A horse accident near Henry Graders causes minor injuries. Hail damage reported around Creaton. Capitalists from Cleveland Norwalk Sandusky Medina and Wooster Electric Railway assess road progress toward Chippewa Lake.

Death of Mrs Fetters at Congress Four

Mrs John Fetters aged 68 died at home near Congress on July 4 from paralysis. She had lived in Congress all her life. Interment was in Fairhaven church cemetery. Survived by husband John Fetters and five children including A. D Fetters Anna Fetters Mrs Wm Thompson and Mrs S D Hayes of Marion.

Wayne Co Boy Hailed in the Philippines Deaths Reported

Wayne County notes two service deaths in the Philippines and at home. Ww Dingey 21 of Blackleyville died of blood poisoning after joining the regular army. His father John Dingey now lives at Shrave. Thomas Vetter died at home in Wayne County aged about 70 the same Wednesday.

John Snyder of South Buckeye dies after noon Saturday

John Snyder of South Buckeye died just before noon on Saturday after telling his wife he would lie down. Born February 14, 1800 in Union County Pennsylvania, he lived in Fr. Lin Ino. Wayne County with his father in 1888. He married Ming Elisa Troutman in 1844 and had four children Beasin Snyder Mrs. Wm. Bents Mrs. Horace Boydston of Wooster and Dr. Curtia H. Snyder of Creston. Funeral Monday at 1 30 p m conducted by Rev. G Q Smith. Interment in Wooster cemetery.
