Fifteen Year Old Eddie Hill Hurt In North Street Accident
Eddie Hill, about fifteen, son of Joseph H Hill, suffered a serious injury after a practice run on an Alert Hose Cart on North Street. He stepped and fell, the cart wheel struck him, and he was carried home by bystanders. Doctors Barrett and Warren found a deep groin cut and possible spinal injury, but he is now resting as comfortably as possible.

Man Killed Near Shreve in Barn Accident
A man named James Avers died instantly near Shreve when a rear truck slid from beneath a barn being moved by John Berry for Jacob Wiker. The incident occurred as the barn fell onto the plank track where the trucks ran. Avers, about 35 and single, was likely crawling under the barn to fix something.
