Wooster Couple Wed In Wooster Neighborhood Home

Joseph Kester and Miss Alloa Mary Figert wed at the bride’s mother Mrs Frederick Figert on East North Street Thursday evening February 6 in the Lutheran church parsonage. The bride, long employed at A J Frederick & Co dry goods, and a Wooster local, married pharmacist Joseph G Kester of Lau bach & Boyd. They started housekeeping at the Kester home on North Walnut Street.

City Council refinances bonds at premium sale

Refunding bonds worth 40000 were sold by the City Council finance committee in the city clerk’s office last Friday February 7. Feder Holzman Co of Cincinnati bid initially at a 722 premium, later raised to 786 to secure the entire issue. Seasongood Mayer Co and other banking houses from Cincinnati Cleveland and Columbus participated. Obiger acted for Holzman Co in the final cal l. Transfers of real estate were recorded in the County Clerk’s office, listing numerous lots and acres traded for sums ranging from 20 to 3900 dollars among individuals and church and corporate receivers.

Executors of the Larwill estate sued Treasurer Brumfield to stop collection of 50902.53 placed on the tax duplicate. Judge Wolfe of Mansfield ruled the estate owes 21901.41 on a total valuation of 649905.

Wrecks on Pennsylvania Lines Near Glenfield

A collision of two freight trains west of Pittsburg on the Pennsylvania Lines killed a western Ohio drover and fatally injured an engineer. Several cars of stock were destroyed and the track blocked for hours. Earlier, an engine leaving Wooster at 3 40 Sundays was damaged by a runaway in Alliance yards last Sunday evening.
