Customs Receipts At Veracruz Top $1 Million
Washington, D. C., Sept. 17. As a result of American administration of the Vera Cruz customs office, the Carfaliza government will receive a cash balance of more than $1,000,000. Wreck on Coast Line No 58 Near Grady Ala Injures Two
Atlantic Coast Line passenger train No 58 from Montgomery to Waycross derailed at Grady Alabama last night. Two persons were injured though not seriously, with reports indicating only the engine turned over. A Coast Line wrecker was dispatched and traffic expected to resume today. Passengers from the wrecked train were moved to other trains and No 68 was delayed about nine hours. The accident’s light injuries may reflect steel underframe equipment in use on the line.

Motorcycle Teams Stop Runaway Horses Near Cox Company
This morning near ten o'clock a team hitched to a Cox Company truck on Francis street ran away. A motorcycle driven by George Cot Ungham with L. B. Boggs chased the runaway through Plant avenue to the Salita river, turning along Remahart and Elizabeth streets before catching the horses at the river. No vehicles were damaged and harness was only slightly damaged amid crowding excitement.
