Missing Son Sought by Aged Missouri Mother in Florida
An elderly Missouri woman, grieving a lost son believed killed on the F. I. & N. Railroad in Florida, sought help at our office last Thursday. Acquittal Overruled By Word Charge In Forgery Case
A fall arrest of RJ Phillips for forgery ended with Faullips acquittal on a technicality after the trial last week. The State sought to prove forgery of the Great Seal but the court ruled the indictment failed to specify that seal. The jur y was not convened as the case collapsed when the defense objected to admitting forged grants without the proper seal citation.

Burglars on Track After Safe Cracking in Mitchell County
Three burglars escaped in darkness after Sheriff Swindle and deputies tried to arrest them near Baronton in Mitchell county. One bullet struck Sheriff Swindle in the breast and was removed by Dr. Hillsman of Albany. The pursuit continues as the trio eluded capture. An old citizen profile notes Mr. Stafford Davis of Coffee county, born 1781, now 106, with 275 descendants.
