In Waresboro Georgia on Labor Day the local team defeated a Waycross squad in both games of a doubleheader. McDonalds delivery was hit hard with about 20 hits in the first game as Waresboro led 11 to 0 after the first inning and cruised to a win. Rowell and Durden starred in the battery for Waresboro. In the evening game Rowell dominated the Waycross lineup with strong outfield play supporting his pitching as Waresboro won 12 to 2.
