No action taken yet on the petition garden up despite talks. The effort remains active as the committee works to add more names, with the total reaching 237 so far and discussions ongoing.
The Way- Gross Camp Confederate Veterans No. 813 meets at the courthouse at 11 o clock on the morn ing of the 19th to elect new officers whose terms have expired. The U D C ladies prepared a program and urge full attendance. Commander A P Perham Sr and Adjutant J W Strickland note the event at 1341 New Garden.
Hardy Brothers, the live grocery firm of Waycross, is near completion of a new Albany and Plant avenue store and will soon take over the site. They have leased the former Bibb building on Albany avenue as a warehouse, and the corner location is close to their Plant avenue stand. Also notice of a funeral for A W Lang set for Sunday January fifteenth, 1911 at 2 o'clock p m, with full attendance requested.
Dear veterans you are invited by the Franci S Bartow Chapter United Daughters of the Confederacy to attend a memorial service for Jacktops and See’nobirthday at Gentts School Angtiapum-ion. The event is organized by Mr. Gokeyman and Mrs. Fred Brewer, secretary, at 1b St.
The sale of tots in Idyl Wilde starts Monday and runs through Thursday Jan 19 with daily band concerts by the Waycross band. Bonnelli Adams Company of New York handles the sale and valuable prizes will be given away, signaling a large attendance.

Savannah report from January 14 states President T. M. Emerson and Vice President J. R. Kenly returning from inspection of Coast Line interests in Florida. They express optimism about this year’s business, predicting even stronger performance after a big past year. They plan minor property improvements, with no specific Savannah matters found, as they departed in a private car on Coast Line No. 86 to Wilmington.
