Secretary Andrews wired President Barrett asking that a March 9 11 cotton growers meeting be held in Waycross during the aviation meet and census celebration to allow farmers to use special round trip rates. The move aims to boost attendance and add significance to the event with lower rail fares and extra entertainment.
Jackson lodge No. 131 Knights of Pythias marked the 47th anniversary of the order with a church service at the Methodist church led by Rev. R. C. Cleckler. The congregation was smaller than usual.

W R Smith, once pursuing Lonnie White on kidnapping and desertion warrants later dismissed as groundless, is jailed on a new charge of stealing hogs from Mr. Stephenson. The alleged theft followed incidents at Okefenokee hotel on Hebard Bailroad. Committee members L A Wilson Alderman John W Moore and Jas Sinclair added.
