A St Louis and Southern passenger train collided with a herd of wild deer ten miles from Brinkley early today. Five deer were killed and Conductor Cramer, who got off to inspect the scene, was attacked by a large buck and sustained injuries.
Bristol Tenn Feb 4 Miss Minnie Oler 18 was killed by a Southern train at Afton as she left the Greenville bound passenger and stepped onto the track believing it to be a wider crossing. The tragedy occurred when the train halted for water and the woman attempted to cross in front of the moving locomotive.
Nome Ga February 4 The city purchases the lot and warehouse from the Farmers union for 6000 to store city stock and machinery using the Buine As arables and storage area for municipal needs.
