Chris Backen pattern maker of 718 Jefferson Street was injured Wednesday afternoon when he fell from the Chicago Great Western railroad bridge into the Cedar River. He was reported improved at St Francis hospital today. Doctors planned X ray pictures of his back to determine the nature of injuries after he complained of back pain for a day.
