Mason City Youth Faces Court on Robbery Charge

Mason City 26 year old Roger Winfield, said to have served time at Fort Madison and Anamosa, is due in court on a robbery with aggravation charge. Unidentified man killed in Burlington freight wreck

An unidentified man was killed when an east bound Burlington freight derailed west of Avery near Ottumwa Iowa at noon today. Twenty five merchandise cars including one gasoline car left the tracks as authorities investigated the cause of the wreck.
