YW C A Plans Fund Drive At Waterloo Institute
Mrs Helen Harkness Calkins national YWCA speaker outlined the war program at a Waterloo district institute with afternoon and evening sessions. A stereopticon show depicted women at work in munitions, shipyards, lumber camps and factories. The talk covered recreational and educational work in industrial camps, language classes for non English speaking women, and the overseas program including rest centers for nurses. The gathering drew many counties in the district and preludes the campaign starting November 11 with allied groups.
