War Board Sued Over Yellow Billboard in Estherville
Estherville Iowa October 23 seven Emmet county war board members are named in a $40000 suit by Lea brothers claiming damages for a yellow billboard in the public square listing bond slackers. The board upheld Liberty loan assessments but the Lees refused their quota prompting the display. Plaintiffs seek $10000 actual and $10000 exemplary damages plus costs. The suit lists seven plaintiffs and identifies both co defendants and omitted board members. The Lees have not explained why six were omitted from the case.
