City Manager Announces Salaries Rise for Staff
City Manager Carr told the council of a contemplated reorganization of the city fire department and recommended salary increases totaling 11 014 44 a year for police fire and city hall workers. The council granted the rises, with most employees receiving raises though chief and assistant chief and electrician in the fire department held at current pay. Police department staff and several city hall personnel also received boosts. Fire department increases list seven captains seven lieutenants 23 firefighters ambulance driver first year men. Other raises include city treasurer assistant treasurer deputy treasurer and harbor master among others. The October item notes a separate Iris bloom from Mrs. Irwin Bushar.
