Bank merger dinner in Waterloo. First National to absorb First Trust
In Waterloo last evening bankers and families gathered at Hotel President after the merger plan between First Trust & Savings Bank and First National Bank here. The consolidation will occur on December 31, 1989, with the state bank assets transferred to the older institution and a savings department launched.
