Missing Waverly man tied to stalled car in Commercial Street block
Occupants of 500 block Commercial Street report C E Schmidt of Waverly has vanished after leaving his car parked since Monday morning. The run-down vehicle bears a guest plate from the Minneapolis Civic and Commerce Association and blocks a one hour parking zone, prompting police and residents to speculate on foul play or voluntary abandonment. Schmidt formerly worked in a Waverly shoe store and moved to Minneapolis, with no sightings since.
