In Ebbets Field Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Nationals face possible elimination after two defeats by the Boston Americans. Police report a gang robbed numerous Ames businesses last night including post offices in Polk County and Boone. Night officer Miller fired on one assailant but details remain unclear as the investigation continues.
Ambassador James G Gerard refused to discuss the purpose of his Berlin voyage or any peace message to President Wilson. He said he expected to return to Berlin and offered no details on plans, while a welcoming committee greeted him in New York aboard the Frederick VIII.
