Upper Iowa Conference Opens Amid War Strain and Museum
The sixth session of the Upper Iowa Annual Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church met at the First Methodist Church in Clinton with Bishop Matt S. Hughes presiding. One hundred seventy-eight preachers responded. organizers elected W. H. Slingerland as recording secretary and listed multiple officers. War affects attendance and pastoral staffing as ministers enlist and charges face alterations.
