Illicit still raid targets 732 Mobile Street home
Ed ward Hines colored is jailed without bond after officers seized a homemade moonshine still and sour mash in his basement at 732 Mobile street. The raid followed tips on illicit whisky production and linked the operation to a north city crime ring. Authorities described the device as highly dangerous and probable poison if alcohol production continued. Deputy sheriffs and police led the search with help from Chief H. W. Young and Sheriff W. T. Wagner.
