Oldest Butler County Woman Dies at 97

Butler County’s oldest resident known as Auntie Griswold died at the county home on Tuesday of last week at 97. Maiden name Arvilla Breed born in Vermont in 1823. Married to Aaron Griswold in 1841 and mother of three. Earlier life included canvassing for books. later years left her to state care after health declined.

He killed and wounded more than 510 birds with about 200 shells before darkness allowed his retreat to a willow patch.
