County and W. R. Watson, a 29 year old barber at the Montrose hotel, are accused of holding up Frank Lawler and Charles Hearn at Fifth and Perry streets in Davenport shortly after midnight. Three hours later both suspects confessed. The victims were ordered to surrender, resisted briefly, and the robbers fled. the pair then took 75 cents as payment.
The City Laundering Co new plant in Oelwein is nearing completion with the brick and concrete building enclosed.
