Oyster Bay residents hailed Lieut. Col Theodore Roosevelt Jr winning the Nassau County second assembly district by a large margin, estimated 2000 to 3500, the biggest Republican majority on record. The lobby at Oyster Bay Inn erupted as he announced a seven pound son named Quentin. He signed the inn register as assembly elect and father of four.
