Omaha promoter Gene Melady faces high costs and big guarantees as talks with Tony Stecher and Matt Slattery over a Stecher Pesek bout in Omaha stall. Offers reach 7000 to 8500 dollars with 35 percent or more, while Pesek’s camp demands 8000 and 30 percent. A combined push could total 14000 plus gate share, risking a loss unless 17600 in receipts clears profit, with auditorium seating 22000 to 32000 at 2 to 10 dollars.
