Prohibition Party Sees Gains in Final Statements
Prohibition chairman Virgil Hinshaw declared the party aims to influence the election by pressing for strict enforcement of the Volstead act and for a drug administration. Randall of California is seen as likely to be reelected, Ella Booles is challenging Wadsworth for the Senate, and other dry candidates draw support from women and various clubs despite wet opposition. The Farmers Labor and Socialist parties also project gains, with expectations of balance of power shifts in Congress and state races in Washington and South Dakota.
