Amnesiac wanderer found in Sioux City linked to Pratt case
In Sioux City an amnesia victim could not recall events before last week. He carried 23 dollars and a 271 jewel Hamilton watch. An emergency contact listed William Pratt of LeMars, Iowa, as well as Hazel Pratt. Sheriff Hugh Maxwell connected him to the missing LeMars grocer Pratt. The man, identified by relatives later as Pratt, traveled from Denver to Sioux City via train, claimed to have worked for Bayard, Nebraska, and Bayard address labels and theater checks were found in his belongings. He cannot read or write after recovery and experts note a possible stock investment collapse. The case involves a bankruptcy petition and a search for his body in Floyd River.

Nov 2 LaPorte residents Mr and Mrs A E Park and Dir and Mrs Ashley hosted a large gathering Friday evening at the Park home with music and entertainment. The Wathers farm near town hosted a merry party Saturday night with costumed guests, music, games and refreshments. Funeral services for a local man were held Sunday at 2 pm at St E Snore. Burial at West View Cemetery. Deputies and members of the Odd Fellows lodge served as pallbearers.
