Catholic College and Parish Win in Land Contest
Tama Iowa May 18 A Tama county land dispute ends with the Supreme Court decision in favor of collateral heirs. The court voided deed transfers by the late Robert Coughlin to the Sheridan family and Catholic institutions pathing 120 acres to Columbia College Dubuque 140 acres to St Patrick's Tama 60 acres in trust for charity. The heirs Peter Coughlin and Honora Gesland challenged the dispositions claiming undue influence and mental incapacity. The Supreme Court reversed Tama county court rulings setting aside the deeds.
