Rehabilitation helps cripples in Iowa program
Des Moines May 13 Disabled people are helped to help themselves via the Iowa state rehabilitation department led by Supervisor W. Grant. The topic will be highlighted at next week's national conference of social work with focus on younger disabled workers and aligning training with abilities. Older workers need targeted support, as many trades require full limb use, and some can only find work in familiar trades. Grant notes that investing in rehabilitation is better economics than sustaining idleness.
