Corydon Iowa observes May 8 as the dedication day for Iowa’s first Civil War veteran monument in courthouse park. The $10,000 project, funded by Wayne county taxpayers, features a full uniform veteran statue. Nate Kendall of Alba is named as a principal speaker. County veterans from the region attend.

The ad promises relief from throat mucus nostril sores bad breath and spitting and offers free medical advice from Swift Specific Company Atlanta.
