White Diarrhea is caused by the bacilus Bacterium Pullorum infecting newly hatched chicks. Germs multiply rapidly and one infected chick can spread the disease to the brood. Prevention should begin at hatch with intestinal antiseptics. Mercuric Chloride is a powerful remedy but unsafe, so avoid its use when safer options exist.
