Lightning destroys Baack barn and stock near Iowa City

A lightning strike set John Baack’s barn on his farm near Iowa City afire. The blaze killed or burned 24 head of stock, including six valuable horses and 16 cows and calves. Loss is about $5,000 with the building insured.
