West High Drops Lecture Course for 1925 26 Season
West High will not offer a regular lyceum course for the 1925 26 season due to weak patron support. Principal Pred C Kluss cites a cost of about 200 for last season and notes that occasional high merit entertainment numbers may be financed locally. A December concert by Gilbert Ross is planned, with a March 24 finale featuring an artist trio Raymund Koch Miss Glady Swarthout and Robert Carlin. Koch has appeared with major orchestras and in national recitals. Swarthout, young but acclaimed, has a rich mezzo soprano and strong concert and oratorio credentials. Carlin has toured extensively in the United States.
