Iowan Killed in Action in France Hugh Weatherman dies
Hugh Weatherman 21 of Marshalltown, a member of Battery C Fifth U S Field Artillery, was killed in action in France March 1. He enlisted May 17, 1917, and left for France last August. The War Department telegram says his body is buried in a military cemetery behind the lines. He is survived by his parents W J Weatherman and a large family with two brothers and five sisters.
