War dynamite in treatySenator McCormick in Washington

Chicago March 1 The peace treaty is loaded with dynamite of new war and will be rewritten, Senator Medill McCormick declared yesterday before leaving for Washington. He said the covenant of the league of nations will be rewritten largely because of the United States senate reservations. He cited that the treaty will force Germany to surrender coal, leaving her with insufficient supplies for transport and manufacture, making it impossible to pay indemnities. He argued that revision is certain and that leaders in Britain and the press support rewriting the treaty to prevent a future war.
