Runaway youth returns home after three weeks absence
Jesse Dickinson a 15 year old foster son of Mr and Mrs B B Dickinson of 742 Magnolia street returned home at 10 pm Sunday after being away since June 4. He said he went to Kansas to work on a ranch and then rode freight trains back to Waterloo arriving by freight last night. Police in several cities had searched for him.

A 10 year old Waterloo boy, Robert Stantzner, died after diving in a lake three miles south of Dubuque. He fell from a boat, was recovered soon after, but resuscitation failed. Born May 7, 1916 in Waterloo, he is survived by his parents and siblings. Funeral services set for Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the home with burial in Fairview. Funeral from Meterson Bros. mortuary.
