Married at Estherville Waterloo couple wed June 10

Austin P. Andrews of the William Galloway company and Gertrude Clara Lenz of Waterloo were married on Saturday June 10 at Estherville. The ceremony at the Presbyterian manse was performed by Rev. Mitchell. They left for Spirit Lake on a wedding trip and returned to Waterloo to set up home on Rendall street. The groom is a Waterloo native and former cashier at Thomson Central before joining the Galloway company. The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles A. Lenz of Waterloo. Many friends wish them a long, happy marriage.

More buildings on Fifth Dt W

Bernbrock and Sibert plan tear down the Stewart transfer barn on Fifth street between Jefferson and Commercial and replace it with a one story structure of three shops. The foundation allows three more upper stories. The corner building at Fifth and Jefferson, the old Congregational church, expires. The plot fronts 600 feet on Fifth and runs 120 feet deep, adjacent to the Elmer hotel.

Hawkeye Club To Have Big Picnic

All Iowa people in Chicago on Saturday June 24 are invited to a Hawkeye Fellowship club picnic at the old Iowa building. Activities include tennis, hall, golf, boating and a visit to Wooded Island with roses in bloom. The event runs from afternoon until evening with a friendly call to bring a fried chicken basket and join the casual gathering. O J Laylander, ex Cedar Falls, serves on the club's board of trustees alongside members from various Iowa points.

Little Glidden cars on the way to Dubuque

Davenport Iowa June 20 the Little Glidden tour left Davenport an hour late due to a time misunderstanding. Cars travel from Davenport to Clinton Maquoketa and then Dubuque. Three cars were penalized Stoddard Dayton 22 points Spaulding No 12 one point and Chamber’s two points.
