Former Waterloo Man Buried Alive
Emery Lewis of Des Moines, formerly of Waterloo and known as Shorty in railroad circles, was killed when a work train dumped sand and gravel as he walked by near Lincoln, Ta. He was smothered by the dirt. body to Reinbeck then Des Moines. Surviving widow Nettia, a Des Moines child, brother Charles in Waterloo, sister Mrs. Ray Webster of Cedar Falls. Burial likely in Cedar Falls.
