River Carnival Fireworks Set for Tomorrow Display
The Waterloo River carnival will cap three days of prep with a large fireworks display Thursday evening. L H Snell of Fidelity Fireworks and two assistants will arrive tomorrow to assemble the huge set pieces. Boat owners are invited to enter, with lanterns and fuses furnished by the Boat club. The parade forms above Mullan Avenue bridge at 8 30 p m. The club seeks 12 rowboats for a special stunt and urges owners to offer their boats by telephone. Thousands are expected to watch from riverbanks, exceeding last year’s 20 000.
