Lasker to head Shipping Board signals new policy drive
Albert D. Lasker of Chicago elected head of the Shipping Board, promising a broad distribution policy to dispose of surplus American production abroad. He brings expertise in national distribution and advertising, with a track record in automobile industry marketing and wide-scale merchandising. The board aims to shift focus from ship management to international markets, though past leadership was unstable and costly. Copyright 1981 New York Evening Post, Inc.
