World Church Plan Defended by Iowa Methodist Leader
Dr. B J Lockwood of Grace Methodist in Iowa chairs interchurch world movement advisory council. He cites broad church cooperation, early New York origins, and pledges totaling over 155 million plus centenary gifts. He notes criticism of funding and reports from Bishop Nicholson leading to strong conference endorsement and call for broad support. The piece ends with a note on Washington's Birthday observances dating back to 1782.
