Titanic faith and family duty in insured lives

A 1920s insurance ad cites three cases to champion life coverage. Dr. Joseph P. Sheehy of Sioux City died in a 1923 car crash after paying one premium of 154.70, with payments to his wife in 120 monthly installments. William Irwin Mathers of Rockford bought 6000 policies in 1923 and died in 1924, leaving 6000 to his wife in trust. Edna Mary Robb bought a 1000 policy in 1924 and died in June 1924 of pneumonia. The ad stresses three service types: monthly wife payments, interest on trust funds, and fuel for security.
