Davey Lee Stars in Sonny Boy at Paramount
Review notes Davey Lee as the appealing child in the Warner Bros Vitaphone feature Sonny Boy at Paramount. The plot centers on a divorce seeking couple whose child is kept by the wife's sister to avoid his father's custody. Betty Bronson is praised, Horton and Edward Everett provide strong turns, and Davey Lee delivers earnest performances amid a lively bedroom comedy finale. A separate act, At the Dentist’s, provides big laughs, with George Lemaire and a six or seven member cast. Clarence Tisdale sings three numbers in a Vitaphone musical sketch, showcasing a powerful sweet voice.
