Eileen Shaffer Dies at Home in Greene Iowa
Eileen Shaffer of Greene Iowa died Monday evening from appendicitis after two months illness. Services will be Wednesday with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. She was born June 12 1907 and was a Greene High School tenth grade student. Surviving are her parents Wilbur Shaffer and three brothers Burr Lynn and Max all of Greene and sister Ruth Shaffer of Chicago.

Women Escaped With Minor Injuries After Car Ditching
Shell Rock Iowa residents Miss Louise McGregor and Miss Irane Jungkunz were cut and bruised when a Ford coupe carrying the two, plus others, went off a 40 foot embankment near Bristow last Saturday. The vehicle somersaulted several times before landing right side up in the ditch. Mr and Mrs W H McGregor were summoned to Bristow and cared for their daughter.
