Cedar Rapids Woman Held In Fire Probe
Cedar Rapids July 16 The local fire marshal and police probe a residence fire at 1525 J Avenue West in Cedar Rapids that damaged Abraham Silverstein home. Mrs. Silverstein of Des Moines was arrested and held while investigators examine alleged arson to collect insurance totaling 39500 on the property and 2200 on the furniture. Fire officials found piles of kindling wood and paper placed on first floor joists as the blaze began.
